= weekend movie date with shingky…we’re back to normal =

Alice in Wonderland (2010) really amazes me: the characters, humor, musicality and 3D effect…kudos! Haven’t read the book yet but I WILL for sure…reminds me of Little Prince, the very first book I’ve ever read and got obsessed about.  Regarded as children’s book but find it deeper than the other books I’ve known, depends on one’s interpretation i guess.  It’s fictional and for me, tackles the complicated life of adulthood (the Pilot) compared to the simple life of childhood and his quest to become adult (the little Prince) and how some people overlooked the joy and adventure of bein a child-at-heart.

I actually have two copies, one I leave at home for preservation *kiddin* and the other one, I sometime carry at my bag in case I got bored and need something to read and the one I lend to my friends.

Memorable QOUTES from the Alice in Wonderland movie:

The Red Queen: Off with their heads!

The Mad Hatter: There is a place.  Like no place on Earth.  A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger!  Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter [picks up his hat]
The Mad Hatter: Which luckily I am.

Alice Kingsley: This is impossible.
The Mad Hatter: Only if you believe it is.

The Mad Hatter: Have I gone mad? [Alice checks Hatter’s temperature]
Alice Kingsley: I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.

and my fave….The Mad Hatter: “Why is a raven like a writing desk?” <—- the author Lewis Carroll, has no direct answer but addressed the issue, saying “Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!” In the original preface, “never” was spelled “nevar,” which is “raven” backwards. Carroll’s pun was unfortunately lost to the red pen of a proofreader, confusing the issue of the riddle even further.

Well I think the raven like a writing desk to keep him SANE…the very idea why i keep this tumblr hahahah *wink wink*.   And last but not the least, as per the Cheshire Cat, “We’re all MAD here.” Cheers!
